Gobind Sweets & Dairy Products

If you find yourself near Dange Chowk in Thergaon, Pune, you’ll likely see our place in Sector 7. We’ve been making sweets and handling dairy products here for quite some time. The kitchen is always a bit warm because of the stoves, and there’s usually a faint smell of milk and sugar in the air. We start very early in the morning to get the fresh milk in and start the day's batches. It’s a lot of manual work, stirring the big pots and packing things up for the counter. We don’t use any automated machines for most of it; it’s all done by hand by the staff who have been with us for years. Our display cases aren't always perfectly arranged, but the food is fresh. People stop by on their way home from work to grab something for dinner or a small treat for their kids. We get pretty crowded during the festival seasons, and things can get a bit chaotic behind the counter, but we manage to serve everyone eventually. It’s a family-run kind of vibe, where we know how many kids our regulars have. We don't have a website or anything like that; we just focus on making sure the curd is set and the sweets are ready. It’s a local business through and through, sitting right there at the crossroads.
