Our place is out at Plot No. 123 in Phase-II. It’s a big warehouse-style space where we handle all the overseas stuff for G. K. Daksh Overseas Pvt. Ltd. If you walk in, you’ll see piles of boxes and crates ready to go. There isn't much in the way of decoration here. We just have the essentials for packing and moving goods. The floor is concrete and it’s seen a lot of wear over the years from the pallet jacks. We spend a lot of time checking labels and making sure the paperwork matches what’s in the boxes. It can be a bit tedious, but it’s the most important part of what we do. The phones ring quite a bit with people asking about their shipments. We don't have a script for how we answer; we just tell them what we know. The weather in Phase-II can be pretty harsh, so the warehouse gets really hot in the summer months. We keep the big doors open to get a breeze, even if it brings in some of the outside noise. It’s not a glamorous job, but it keeps us busy from morning until late evening. We’ve been doing this for a while and we’ve seen a lot of different things pass through these doors. We don't try to sound like a big corporate office because we aren't one. We’re just a group of people making sure boxes get where they need to go.
