Freelancer

I operate as a freelancer right out of my place in Sec 21- D. It’s a fairly quiet residential area, which is great for the kind of work I do where I need to focus for hours at a time. I don't have a big team or a corporate office with a receptionist. It’s just me, my computer, and a lot of coffee. My desk is usually covered in notes and maybe a few old mugs that I haven't taken to the kitchen yet. Working from home means my hours are a bit all over the place. Sometimes I’m up early before the sun, and other times I’m still typing away late into the night when the rest of the sector is asleep. I handle various projects as they come in, mostly doing everything myself from start to finish. I don’t have a big marketing plan; I mostly just rely on people I’ve worked with before mentioning my name to someone else. It can be a bit lonely sometimes, but I like the freedom of being my own boss and not having to commute through city traffic. I usually take a walk around the neighborhood in the evenings just to stretch my legs and clear my head. It’s a simple life, but it keeps me busy and I get to work on things that actually interest me. That’s the reality of running things from Sec 21-D day after day while the neighbors are out.
