Food Hut Confectioner

I started Food Hut Confectioner over here at Sector 49 because I liked the idea of a small place where people could grab a quick bite. We are at number 26. It’s a small shop, mostly taken up by the display cases and the oven in the back. The smell of baking is usually pretty strong by ten in the morning. We do a lot of biscuits and some savory snacks too. It isn't anything complicated. I spend a lot of time checking the timers on the ovens and making sure we don't burn the crusts. Sometimes the dough doesn't rise right and we have to start over. That is just how it goes with baking. The kids from the neighborhood come by for patties or small cakes after they finish their classes. It gets loud for about an hour and then it goes quiet again. I keep a radio playing in the corner just to have some background noise. The glass on the counters always has fingerprints on it no matter how many times I wipe it down with a rag. Sector 49 is a good spot, though parking is a bit of a pain for people sometimes. We just focus on getting the food out fresh. If something is a day old, we usually just give it away or take it home. There is no point in selling stuff that isn't right. We stay open pretty late most nights. It is just me and the oven most days.
