Our office is at Sco-188 & 189 in Sector-8, Chandigarh. It’s on the second floor, so you have to walk up or wait for the lift which is sometimes slow. We spend our days dealing with students who want to study in other countries. It’s a lot of looking at marks and sorting out paper files. Chandigarh is a busy place for this, and we’ve been here a while now. The office isn't very fancy, just some desks and computers. We talk to parents a lot because they are usually more worried than the kids are. Most of the time we are just checking visa rules or helping with applications. It can get repetitive, but we try to be thorough. We don't like to over-promise things. If a student doesn't have the right grades for a certain college, we just tell them straight. There’s no point in wasting their time or ours. Sector-8 is a decent area to work in, and we know the shops nearby for lunch. The windows let in some light, but mostly we are focused on the screens. Dealing with foreign universities takes patience because of the time differences. Sometimes we are still sending emails late in the day. We are just a small team trying to get the paperwork right so people can actually get where they want to go. It’s practical work. No big corporate speeches here, just the daily grind of forms and phone calls to various embassies.
