Durga Atachi

Durga Atachi is over at 3 Shanti Nagar in Sector 41. The shop isn't much to look at from the outside, but it is where we spend most of our day. Mostly, it is just bags and suitcases everywhere. We have been sitting on this corner for a good while now. Every morning starts with pulling up the shutter and sweeping out the dust that blows in from the street. It is usually quiet until the afternoon when people start walking back from work or school. We have all sorts of things for carrying stuff, from heavy luggage to smaller pouches. The shelves are pretty packed, so you have to move carefully so you do not knock anything over. Sometimes the light in the back flickers, but we have not gotten around to fixing it yet. People from around Shanti Nagar know us, so we spend a lot of time just chatting about the weather or how the local roads are getting busier. It gets a bit stuffy in the summer, but we keep the fan going. We do not have a big staff or anything, just a few of us making sure things are in the right place. Most folks just want something that will not break on them after a week. We try to keep things simple and honest. The street corner gets a little muddy when it rains, so we keep a piece of cardboard by the door for people to wipe their feet. It is just a regular life here in Sector 41, keeping the shop open.
