About Citizen's Awareness Group – Tourism in Chandigarh
We work out of an office in Sector 38, at number 2812. It’s a residential area, so it’s mostly quiet around here except for the odd barking dog. We have some desks, a few filing cabinets, and a lot of paper stacked up. People from the neighborhood stop by sometimes to ask questions or talk about local issues. It’s not a corporate office by any means. There’s usually someone here from the morning until late afternoon. The door sticks a little bit in the monsoon, so you have to give it a good push. We’ve been operating from this address for a long time now. There are posters on the walls about different things we’ve done over the years. Sometimes we have meetings where everyone sits around the big wooden table in the middle room. The tea kettle is almost always on. We don’t have a big staff, just a few people who care about what's going on in the city. If the phone rings and nobody answers, we're probably out back or down the street talking to neighbors. It’s a humble setup. We don't have fancy furniture or high-tech equipment. Just some chairs, pens, and a lot of conversation. You can find us easily enough if you follow the street numbers in Sector 38. It’s a plain brick building. We’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit from our window. People know us as the place to go when they want to talk. It's home.
