Bombay Confectionary

If you know where Kiran Cinema is in Sector 17 D, then you probably know Bombay Confectionary. We are right across from it. Being in Sector 17 means we see a lot of foot traffic. People come here after watching a movie or while they’re out shopping in the main plaza. We’ve been here long enough that the building is starting to show its age a bit, but we think it adds character. Our shelves are packed with biscuits, candies, and all sorts of snacks. It can get a bit cluttered, especially when we get a big delivery and haven't had time to put everything away yet. We don't have a fancy website or a glossy brochure. We just open the shutters in the morning and wait for the first customer. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, and we have to use flashlights, but the regulars don't seem to mind. It’s a bit of an old-school way of doing things, but it works for us. We like the energy of Sector 17 D. There’s always someone new walking in, mixed with the people who have been coming to us for twenty years. We keep the counters wiped down and the jars full. It’s a simple business. We just want to be that familiar shop across from Kiran Cinema where you can grab a treat and a cold drink. We’ll be here as long as the cinema is standing and people are hungry for snacks.
