Babyland Preparatory School

We are tucked away in Mani Majra, specifically at House No.771 in Tedi Gali. It’s right in the middle of Mohalla Jatta Wala, which is a fairly traditional neighborhood. The school isn’t a big institution with sprawling fields; it’s more of a local house that we’ve converted into a space for little kids to start their schooling. Because we are in a narrow lane, it gets quite busy during drop-off times. The neighbors are used to the sound of children playing and singing by now. We have small classrooms that are brightened up with posters and drawings made by the kids. It’s a very local feel here. Most of the families who bring their children to us live just a few streets away. We don’t have a big office or a reception desk with a fancy secretary. Usually, if you walk in, you’ll just find one of us teaching or helping a child with their lunch. It’s a bit noisy and chaotic sometimes, especially when it’s raining and everyone has to stay inside. But that’s just life in a preparatory school. We focus on the basics like ABCs and numbers. We’ve been in this spot for years, and it’s just a simple, honest part of the community in Chandigarh. People know where to find us if they need a place for their toddlers to go while they work during the day.
