Abhinandan India Foundation

We are over at House No 198 in Sector 45 A. It is on the second floor. Chandigarh is a quiet place most of the time, and we like being here. The office is not very big, but it works for what we do. Sometimes the stairs are a bit much if you are carrying boxes, but we manage fine. Most days we just sit around the table and figure out what needs doing next for Abhinandan India Foundation. It’s mostly just a few of us. We have lived in this area for a while now, so we know the neighbors and where to get the best tea nearby. It’s not a fancy corporate setup or anything like that. We just have some desks, a few chairs, and a lot of paperwork usually. People stop by sometimes to ask what we are up to, and we tell them. It is pretty straightforward work. The fans hum in the summer and we keep the windows shut when it gets dusty outside. We don’t really have a big fancy sign out front, just the address. It feels more like a home than a workplace sometimes, which is how we like it. We started this because there seemed to be a need for it in our corner of the city. We spend a lot of time talking to folks and trying to stay busy with the small things that add up.
