Kachai Lemon Farmer Producer Company Limited

Down in Kachai Village, just about everyone knows about the lemons. That is the main reason we started this producer company. We are located up in the Somdal Central sub-division. If you have ever traveled up this way, you know the roads are a bit tricky and winding, but the air is very clean. Our group is made up of the local growers who have been tending to these lemon trees for a long time. It is not like a regular company where people sit in small cubicles all day. Most of our meetings happen while we are actually out in the orchards looking at the fruit. We deal with the specific type of lemons that only grow well right here in our soil. It is a lot of work to get them packed up and sent out before they start to lose their freshness. We spend a lot of time worrying about the weather and when the right time to harvest will be. Sometimes we have to stay up very late at night to finish all the sorting and grading. It is a real group effort. Nobody here acts like the big boss. We all have a stake in how the crop turns out. The village is small so news travels fast. If there is a problem with a batch everyone hears about it quickly and we work to fix it together. We don’t have money for fancy things. We just put everything back into our tools and the trucks we use for transport.
