Aman Resorts

Aman Resorts is out here in Vill-Chandfarm, near Banbassa in the Champawat area of Uttarakhand. Being out in this part of the country is different from the big cities. We’re tucked away and it’s a bit more quiet. We started this place because there was some space here and we wanted to give people a spot to stay when they’re passing through or visiting the area. It’s not a five-star luxury hotel with marble floors, but it’s a place to sleep and have a meal. We do the cooking ourselves and try to keep the rooms tidy for whoever shows up. Living and working in Uttarakhand means dealing with the weather and the roads, which isn’t always easy. We’ve got a small staff from the local village who help out with the cleaning and the garden. Most of our guests are people traveling for work or families on a short trip who need a break. We don't have any big slogans or goals. We just want to make sure the beds are made and the food is hot. It’s a simple life out here in Banbassa. Sometimes we sit outside and talk to the guests about their travels when things are slow. It feels more like a home than a business most days. We keep things basic and honest. If you find yourself in Champawat, you’ll find us out at the farm. It’s just how we live and work every day.
