Sona Enterprise

Sona Enterprise is located in Ward No. 14 in Bettiah, which is in the Pashchim Champaran district. We are right by the Town Thana and the main post office, so it’s a very central part of town. We’ve been operating out of this same building for a lot of years now. It’s a simple setup where we keep our stock and handle our daily trades. We don't have a big corporate office with air conditioning or fancy chairs. Instead, we have a warehouse area and a small desk where we keep our ledgers. The morning usually starts with us opening the big metal shutters and checking what needs to be delivered that day. The area near the police station is always crowded with people and vehicles, so logistics can be a bit of a challenge sometimes. We don’t do any big advertising or have a marketing budget. Most of our business comes from people we’ve known for decades. We sit on plastic chairs out front during the quiet times and talk to the other shopkeepers. It’s a very traditional way of doing business, based on handshakes and knowing who you are dealing with. We aren't trying to be the biggest enterprise in Bihar. We just want to do our work properly and provide for our families. It’s a lot of physical labor and long hours, but we are used to it by now. It’s just how things are done here in Bettiah.
