Our office is in M8/D6, Jhulelal Apartment in Pitam Pura, New Delhi. If you know Delhi, you know how crowded Pitam Pura can get. Being in an apartment complex means we are surrounded by families and other small businesses. It’s a bit of a maze to find the right block sometimes, and the parking is always a struggle for anyone coming to visit. The apartment itself isn't very large, so we’ve had to be clever with how we arrange the desks for the Videocon Industries Ltd team. It feels more like a home than an office most of the time. We have a small kitchen where we make tea and heat up our lunch. The balcony looks out over the inner courtyard of the complex, so there is always some noise from kids playing or people talking. It’s a very lived-in place. The walls have some marks from where we moved the furniture around. We don't have a big fancy entrance. You just ring the bell and come on in. It’s a busy atmosphere, but we get our work done. The lift in the building is a bit temperamental, so we often end up taking the stairs. It’s just the reality of working in an older apartment block in North Delhi. We like it though, it’s got a bit of character and it’s close to the local market for errands. It’s just a typical Delhi workspace.
