Down in Shidipura, specifically at B-14/8949, you'll find Smart Alloys. Karol Bagh is always a bit of a maze, isn't it? The streets are tight and there's always someone moving a cart or a rickshaw blocking the way. We’ve been working with alloys here for a long time. It’s hot work, especially when the furnaces are going. The building is old, and the stairs are narrow, but we make it work. We deal with different types of metals, weighing them out and getting the mixes right. It’s a lot of manual labor and getting your hands dirty. We don't have a receptionist or a fancy waiting room. If you walk in, you’re likely to walk right into the middle of us working. We talk a lot over the noise of the machinery. Sometimes we grab tea from the guy who comes around with a kettle. Karol Bagh is a noisy place, so we fit right in. We’ve got stacks of ingots and scrap metal piled in the corners. It’s not pretty to look at, but we know where everything is. We just focus on the metal and making sure the quality is what it needs to be for the next guy in the chain. It’s a small operation, but we stay busy every day of the week. There is no corporate polish here, just us doing what we’ve always done.
