We've been at F-29 in Kamla Nagar for a long time. It’s a busy area. Shivani Castings & Alloys (P) Ltd. is what we call the place. We work with metal all day. It gets very hot in the shop, especially during the summer months when the sun hits the roof. There are about ten of us working here right now. We handle various casting jobs and different metal mixes. People bring us their requirements and we see what we can do for them. The machines are old but they still run fine if you treat them right and keep them oiled. We spend a lot of time cleaning up the dust at the end of the shift. Kamla Nagar is a crowded spot, so parking can be a real headache for anyone visiting. We just use the little space we have out front. It’s noisy work, but you get used to the sound of the metal hitting the floor after a few weeks. We don't have a receptionist or anything like that. If someone walks in, whoever is closest to the door helps them out. We drink our chai together at four o'clock. That's the best part of the day for most of us. My father started this place years ago. Now we just try to keep it going. We don't have a website or any of that fancy stuff. Most of our work comes from the shops nearby. They know where to find us.
