Perfect Instrumentations

Our shop is right on Railway Road in Azadpur, which is usually a very busy part of Delhi. There is always a lot of noise from the traffic and the people heading toward the station. We have been at 474 for quite a long time now. The shelves are packed with different tools and meters, and honestly, it’s a bit of a squeeze when more than two people are inside at once. Most of the time, I am behind the counter looking through catalogs or checking the stock that came in that morning. The floor is concrete and gets quite cold in the winter, so I usually wear thick socks. We deal with a lot of technical stuff, mostly instruments for measuring and things like that. It’s dusty work because of all the boxes moving around. My assistant, Rahul, usually handles the heavy lifting while I talk to the regulars who come in for specific parts they can’t find elsewhere. We don’t really do any big advertising; the people who need us usually just know where we are. Sometimes the electricity goes out for an hour in the afternoon, so we just sit on the stools and wait for it to come back on. It’s a steady kind of life, seeing the same delivery drivers and the same neighbors every day. The sign outside is a bit faded from the sun, but it still says the name clearly enough for anyone looking for us.
