Pandit Diwakar Shastri Jyotish

I have my setup in Old Rajinder Nagar. It’s an older part of the city and I really like the history here. My workspace is just a part of where I live, so it feels very personal. I’ve been doing this for many years, following in the footsteps of those who came before me. The streets here are narrow and can be a bit confusing if you aren’t used to them. I don’t have a big neon sign or anything like that. People usually find me because someone they know told them where I am. I spend my days looking at charts and talking to people who have questions about their lives. It’s quiet work for the most part. I don’t use any of those new computer programs for my calculations; I prefer doing them by hand. It takes longer but it feels more right to me. The room where I sit has a lot of old books and the smell of paper. It’s a comfortable place for me. I don’t get many tourists, mostly just locals who have been living in Rajinder Nagar for decades. Sometimes a student from the nearby coaching centers will stop in too. I try to stay available most days, though I take breaks when I need to. There’s no big corporate structure here, just me and my desk. It’s a modest way to live and work, but it suits me perfectly. I like how things are.
