Pahuja Motors

You can find Pahuja Motors over on Arya Samaj Road in Karol Bagh, right at number 1694. If you have ever been to this part of Delhi, you know how loud and chaotic it gets with all the spare parts shops and mechanics everywhere. Our shop is right in the thick of it. There is usually oil on the floor and the smell of rubber and petrol in the air most of the time. I have been working here for a long time, and my hands are almost always dirty from moving parts around or checking things for people. It’s a tough environment but it is what I know. The road outside is always dug up or blocked by some truck unloading crates, so getting things in and out can be a struggle. We don't have a fancy showroom with air conditioning; it’s just a workspace where we get things done. I have a few guys who help me out, and we usually spend the day shouting over the noise of the traffic to hear each other. Sometimes we sit on old crates out front during our break and just watch the madness of Karol Bagh go by. It’s not a glamorous life, but there is always work to be done and people who need their machines fixed. We just take it one day at a time and try to keep the wheels turning for our customers.
