New Ink Publications

You can find us in Karol Bagh, specifically at 9 A/29 in the WEA area. It’s a busy part of town with lots of shops and houses mixed together. New Ink Publications is where we spend our days editing, checking proofs, and dealing with manuscripts. The office is filled with books from floor to ceiling. Sometimes it feels like there isn't enough space for all the paper we have. We do a lot of educational and local interest publishing. The staff is small, just a handful of us who like reading and putting books together. It gets dusty with all the old files, but we don't mind much. Karol Bagh is always loud, so we’ve learned to work through the sound of honking cars. We started this because we liked the idea of making books available to everyone. It’s not a high-tech operation; we still use a lot of red pens on physical paper. People often drop by to drop off their writing or to pick up copies of recent prints. We’ve been at this address for a good number of years. The stairs up to the office are a bit narrow, so you have to be careful. We don't have a receptionist, so usually, whoever is closest to the door answers it. It’s a practical, working space for people who just want to get books made and out into the world for others to read.
