Chambal Fertilisers & Chemicals Ltd.

Our office for Chambal Fertilisers & Chemicals Ltd. is up on the 4th Floor of Devika Tower 6 in Nehru Place. If you have ever been to Nehru Place, you know it is a concrete forest full of people and computers. Our floor is usually buzzing with the sound of printers and people talking on their headsets. It is a standard office setup, nothing too fancy. We have rows of desks and a small pantry where the tea is always a bit too sweet. Being in a big tower means we spend a lot of time waiting for the elevators, especially around lunchtime when everyone is heading down to the food stalls. We handle a lot of the backend stuff here, the paperwork and the coordination for the chemical and fertiliser side of things. It is mostly screens and files. Sometimes we get visitors from the plants, and the whole energy changes for a day. The view from the window is just other buildings and the street below, which is always packed with cars. We try to keep things moving smoothly, but with so many departments, there is always someone looking for a missing form or a signature. It is a long day usually, starting early to beat the Delhi traffic. We aren't out in the fields ourselves, but we make sure everything is sorted from this desk in Nehru Place. We just keep our heads down and work through the files.
