Our shop is right in the middle of all that action. It’s a small space, so we have to be very organized with how we stack our cable rolls, otherwise, you wouldn't be able to walk through the door. Most of the day is spent dealing with customers who come in off the street or answering the phone that never seems to stop ringing. Naiwala is famous for spare parts and stuff like that, so we fit right in with the rest of the businesses here. It gets very hot in the summer, and we usually have a couple of fans blowing at full speed just to stay comfortable while we work. We don't have any polished sales pitches or brochures. Usually, we just show people the copper quality or the thickness of the cable and let them decide. The guys working here are used to the noise and the fast pace of the market. Sometimes we have tea from the stall at the corner and talk to the other shop owners about how the market is doing. It’s a tight-knit community in these lanes, and we’ve been part of it for a long time now. Just making cables and living the Karol Bagh life.
