Mediatek India is tucked away on Street Number 6 in the Shimlapuri area of Ludhiana. If you know House Number 4178, then you know where we are. It is not some big corporate building in a tech park, but a real place in a busy neighborhood. We deal with various electronics and technical bits every day. The street can get a bit crowded with bikes and people going about their business, but inside it is mostly quiet work. We have been here for a good amount of time now. Working in Punjab means you deal with the changing seasons, from the very hot summers to the cold winters, and that affects how we manage the shop. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. It is just a few of us making sure things run like they should. Most of the people who come by are locals or folks who heard about us through a friend. We spend a lot of time looking at parts and trying to figure out why things aren't working right. It is honest work and we keep it simple. There is always someone coming in to ask a question or drop something off. We don't use fancy words or try to act like we are bigger than we are. We just open up the doors in the morning, do the work that needs doing, and close up when the day is finished. It is a steady life here in Shimlapuri.
