Kz Scrap

We operate out of Minto Road. It’s Kz Scrap, and it’s basically what it sounds like. We deal with a lot of metal, old machinery, and whatever else people want to get rid of. The yard gets pretty full, especially at the end of the month when people are clearing out their garages or worksites. It’s not the cleanest job in the world, but it’s what we do. We spend the day weighing things, sorting through piles of iron and copper, and loading trucks. It can be heavy work. The weather really affects us since a lot of the work is outdoors. If it rains, the ground gets muddy, and if it’s hot, the metal gets untouchable. We’ve been on Minto Road for a good while. People around here know they can bring their junk to us and we’ll handle it. We don’t have a fancy office, just a small desk and a scale. It’s a lot of manual labor, moving things from one pile to another. Sometimes we find some interesting stuff in the piles, but mostly it’s just scrap that needs to be recycled. We don’t do any big advertising, just the sign out front. It’s a simple business model. People bring stuff, we take it, and then we move it along to the bigger processors. It’s been working for us so far, and we plan to stay here for a while.
