Padam Metals

Padam Metals is located in Paharganj, at 2905 Gali No 4 in the Chuna Mandi area. Paharganj is a maze of lanes and we are right in the thick of it. The shop is small and a bit cramped because we try to keep as much metal in stock as possible. Chuna Mandi is a busy place, and there are always people moving about, even late into the evening. Our shop door is usually wide open, and you can see the stacks of metal sheets from the street. It is quite dusty because of all the construction and traffic nearby, so we spend a lot of time cleaning things off. We have a small fan that whirs all day long, trying to keep the air moving. We are not big on technology here; most things are done by hand or with old tools that have been around for a long time. People stop by to ask for specific sizes, and we do our best to find what they need in the piles. The walls of the shop are painted a dull color that has faded over the years. We know most of the neighbors, and we often chat while waiting for the next customer. It is a quiet kind of busy, if that makes sense. We just focus on the work in front of us and try to keep our little corner of Chuna Mandi organized. It is just simple metal trading.
