At Kashmir Himalayan Expeditions Pvt Ltd, our office is located at 2514 Chawri Bazar. If you’ve ever been to Chawri Bazar, you know it is one of the busiest and most crowded parts of old Delhi. It’s a bit funny that we organize trips to the quiet, open mountains of the Himalayas from such a cramped and noisy place. Our office is small and filled with maps, old brochures, and trekking gear that has seen better days. We spend a lot of our time talking to people about trails, weather conditions, and how to get from one valley to another. It’s not a fancy travel agency with bright lights and posters. It’s more of a place where people who actually like the outdoors come to sit and plan their next adventure. We deal with a lot of phone calls from guides up north and try to make sure all the permits and gear are ready for the groups. The streets outside are always loud with the sounds of carts and people shouting, but inside we are usually focused on the mountains. We’ve been doing this for a long time, so we know the routes pretty well. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there. We just like what we do and we like helping people see the parts of the country that we find beautiful. Most days it’s just about getting the details right so that nothing goes wrong when someone is halfway up a mountain.
