Working out of Karol Bagh means you’re always right in the middle of everything. We are located at No. 20 in the East Park Area, which is slightly away from the loudest parts of the market but still close enough to hear it. The building itself has seen better days, but it has character. We’ve been here at Hira Lall & Son Exports Pvt. Ltd. for a long time, and the place feels like a second home to most of the staff. There’s a lot of history in these walls. The office is full of wooden cabinets and old filing systems that we still use alongside the computers. It’s a bit of a maze inside with all the boxes ready for export. During the summer, the fans just move the hot air around, but we’re used to it. We take our breaks together, usually drinking tea from the stall at the corner. The East Park Area is a bit quieter than the main shopping streets, which helps when we need to focus on the export documents. Sometimes the street gets blocked by a delivery truck, and everything just stops for twenty minutes. That’s just life in Karol Bagh. We don’t have a big corporate lobby or anything like that. People just knock and come in. It’s a very straightforward way of doing things, and we’ve kept it that way for years now, just working through the piles of folders.
