Arya Samaj Road is one of those places in Karol Bagh that never seems to sleep. Our office, Bl Grandeur Exports Pvt. Ltd., is at number 1707/57. It’s an old building, the kind with narrow stairs and thick walls. When you walk up, you can feel the age of the place. We’ve been in this spot for quite some time now. The office isn't very big, and it’s packed with stuff from floor to ceiling. We have shelves that are overflowing with files and boxes that we move around every time someone needs to sit down. The desks are pushed up against the walls to make more room in the middle. It’s a bit of a squeeze when more than three people are in here at once. Outside, the road is always full of rickshaws and people shouting, but once you close the door, it gets manageable. We have a small window that looks out onto the street, and sometimes it’s nice to just watch the chaos below for a minute. The fan overhead makes a clicking sound that we’ve all stopped noticing. We don’t have fancy furniture or a glass door. It’s just a practical place where we come to get the work done. Most days, we are here from early morning until the street lights come on. It’s a tough location sometimes because of the traffic, but it’s where we belong. We keep things simple and just focus on the orders we have.
