The Exporters

You can find us at B-40 Jitar Nagar, on Parwana Road, Street No. 17. It’s a bit of a maze back here. If you’re coming for the first time, you might get lost in the narrow lanes. The Exporters is a small operation. We have a ground floor space that gets a bit dark in the evenings, so we have those bright tube lights everywhere. There’s always someone sitting at the front desk checking the registers. We have a lot of samples sitting around on wooden racks. The air smells a bit like cardboard and old paper. We don’t have a fancy lounge for visitors. If you come by, we usually just pull up a plastic chair for you. The street outside is always noisy with scooters and people selling vegetables. It’s very lively. We’ve been here long enough that the local stray dogs know us and wait for scraps near the door. Our work involves a lot of checking and re-checking. Errors are a pain, so we take our time. Sometimes the fans rattle a bit, but we’re used to it. We aren't trying to impress anyone with a shiny office. We just want to make sure the goods get to where they need to go. It’s honest work and it keeps us on our toes every single day. We stay until the job is done, then we head home.
