Hemraj Electronics

We are tucked away in Ram Nagar, over in Paharganj at house number 7542/7. It’s a busy spot, mostly because of how tight the lanes are around here. Every morning, the first thing is rolling up the metal shutter which always makes a bit too much noise for that hour. The shop isn't fancy at all. There are rows of shelves that have been here since the beginning, mostly filled with components, old boxes, and testing gear that has seen better days. You can usually find one of us sitting behind the small wooden desk near the front where the light is a bit better. The street outside is always full of people moving things or just heading to work, and the tea stall nearby keeps us going throughout the day. We’ve stayed in this same patch of Paharganj for a long time now. It’s just how things are—we know the neighbors, we know which floorboards in the shop tend to creak when you walk on them, and we know how the dust settles on the glass cases by afternoon. There’s no big sign with flashing lights, just the name Hemraj Electronics on the board above the door. Most people find us because they’ve been coming here for years or they live a few streets over. It’s just a regular place where we get on with the work, dealing with whatever comes across the counter each day while the ceiling fan hums overhead.
