The Hemant Export

The Hemant Export is over at No. 6/103 in Geeta Colony. It’s an old neighborhood with a lot of character. Our office is in a building that has been around for decades. The stairs are narrow and a bit steep. We have two main rooms where all the work happens. One room is full of files and two old computers that hum loudly. The other room is where we pack everything. We use a lot of bubble wrap and tape. The sound of tape being pulled is probably what the neighbors hear most during the day. We have a small window that looks out onto the street. In the summer, it gets very hot, so we have a cooler that we have to fill with water every few hours. It’s a bit of a chore, but it keeps us going. We know the other business owners on the block, and we often share a cup of tea in the afternoon. We don’t have a big marketing department or anyone to write fancy speeches. It’s just us. We get the orders, we find the items, and we send them out. Sometimes a shipment gets delayed, and we spend all day on the phone trying to fix it. That’s just the way it goes. We’re happy to be here in Geeta Colony. It's not a perfect setup, but it’s ours and we make it work.
