Friend Tools & Engineering Works

If you go down Gali No 10 in Anand Parbat, you will find us at PP-22. This area is full of small workshops like ours. Friend Tools & Engineering Works is basically a place where we get our hands dirty every single day. There is always the sound of metal hitting metal or machines humming in the background. It is not the cleanest place, to be honest, because there is always oil and metal shavings around. That’s just the nature of engineering work. We have been here for a long time, and the space feels small sometimes when we have big projects going on. We do a lot of repairs and custom tool work for people who come by. Most of our customers are locals or other small business owners from around the neighborhood. It is a bit of a maze getting here if you aren't used to the narrow streets of Anand Parbat. We usually have a few guys working at once, each busy with a different lathe or drill. Sometimes things go wrong with a machine and we have to spend the whole morning fixing it ourselves. It is practical work. We don't have a big office or anything. Just a small desk with a lot of papers and spare parts on it. We just try to do the job right so people keep coming back to us. It can be exhausting, but finishing a difficult part feels good. We’ve been here since the early days.
