Ali Tool & Dies

Our workshop is located over at 29N/1 Anand Parbat, right in Gali Number Four. It is a pretty tight space, but it is where we do all our tool and die manufacturing work. Ali Tool & Dies has been running out of this small spot for a long time now. You can usually hear the sound of metal being shaped before you even reach the door. The floor is almost always covered in tiny metal shavings, so everyone has to be careful where they walk. We spend a lot of our hours bent over the machines, making sure every measurement is exactly right. It is very precise work even if the shop looks a bit cluttered to an outsider. We have some old machines that still run perfectly because we take good care of them. The light in the back of the shop is a bit dim, but that is where the heaviest work happens. Anand Parbat is full of these small workshops, so there is always a neighbor around if you need to borrow a tool. We don't have a front desk or anyone to answer phones all day. Usually, we just hear the bell and stop what we are doing to see who it is. It is a family-run kind of place. We care about making things that last, even if we don't talk about it much. When the sun goes down, we usually stay a bit longer.
