About Electronic Exchange – Electronics in Central Delhi
Electronic Exchange is run out of Flat No. -8, Building No. 73/A in New Delhi. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze, honestly. Working out of a flat means every corner is used for something. One room is for the actual repair work, and the hallway is mostly stacked with boxes of old components and units people have traded in. New Delhi is a crazy place to do business, everything moves so fast. I started this because I saw how much perfectly good electronics people were just throwing away. I figured I could take them, fix them up, or at least use the parts. It’s a bit of a one-man show. I spend a lot of time on the phone trying to source parts from Nehru Place or waiting for deliveries that get stuck in traffic. The flat is on a floor that gets a decent bit of light, which helps when you're working on those tiny mobile components. I don't really have a big sign outside, mostly just people finding me through word of mouth. It gets pretty loud with the street noise coming through the balcony, but I've learned to tune it out. Some days I'm here until midnight because I promised a customer their board would be ready. It’s hard work, and the space is small, but it’s mine and I know every inch of it.
