Design Studio

Design Studio. Our place is down in the basement of Shri Ram Complex on Tank Road. If you’re looking for us, we’re at 16/1111, right near the police booth in Karol Bagh. Being in a basement means it stays a bit cooler in the summer, which is nice, but it can get a little dim. We do a lot of design work here, mostly focused on the garments and patterns that move through Karol Bagh every day. It’s a loud area, always something happening outside on the street. You can hear the bikes and the people talking through the small windows near the ceiling. We have a few long tables where we spread everything out. It’s not a polished studio like you might see in a magazine. There are scraps of paper and fabric samples everywhere. We’ve been at this location for some time now, and we’ve gotten used to the cramped space. The Shri Ram Complex is always busy with people coming and going. Sometimes it’s hard to find a place to park nearby, but that’s just Karol Bagh for you. We mostly just keep our heads down and work on whatever project is on the desk. It’s a lot of drawing and measuring. We don’t really do anything flashy. It’s just a regular workspace where we try to keep things moving. The police booth is a good landmark if you get lost, which happens a lot around Tank Road.
