Our travel desk, Country Voyager, is tucked away in Shop No B 9/170 in Sector 5 of Rohini. It’s a small space where we handle all sorts of travel bookings. We’ve been here for a while, dealing with the daily bustle of the Rohini neighborhood. Most days are spent on the phone or staring at computer screens, trying to find available tickets or checking hotel dates. People from the nearby blocks usually drop in when they are planning a trip, whether it’s just a quick train journey or a longer holiday. We don't have any big neon signs or fancy advertisements. It’s just a desk, a few chairs, and a lot of folders full of schedules. Sometimes it gets a bit chaotic when the internet is slow or when people change their minds about their dates at the last minute. We try to keep track of all the different rules for luggage and visas, which can be a bit of a headache. The office is simple and functional. We don't have a huge team, just a couple of us who know the routes and the rates. It’s interesting to hear where people want to go, though most of our work is just the regular back-and-forth of logistics. Dealing with cancellations and delays is part of the job, and it’s not always easy. We just stay in our corner of Sector 5 and keep things moving for the locals who need to get somewhere. We keep a few maps on the wall for reference.
