Bharat Overseas

Bharat Overseas is situated at E-15/17 in Krishna Nagar. It’s a residential-style building that we converted into our workspace. It feels more like a home than an office most of the time. We have a small garden in the front that my wife tries to keep tidy, though the delivery bikes often mess it up when they park. Inside, we have converted the rooms into storage and a small area for the computers. We handle overseas trade from here. It’s a quiet enough neighborhood, which is nice compared to the bigger markets in the city. We started this business with just two people and now there are five of us. We don't have any formal uniforms or anything like that. We just come in, have some chai, and start going through the orders for the day. Krishna Nagar is a good place to be, and we know most of the people on this block. Sometimes the neighbors come by just to chat or ask for help with something. We don't have any big goals of becoming a huge corporation. We just want to do our work well and make sure the shipments go out on time. The house is old, so the pipes sometimes rattle when the water is running, but we don't mind. It’s a comfortable place to work and it keeps us grounded while we deal with the daily chores.
