Amit Surgicals operates out of the G.T. Karnal Road Industrial Area, specifically at B-69. If you’re looking for us, we’re quite near the Gola Banquet Hall, which is a big landmark everyone in the area knows. The industrial area is a very practical place to work. There are always trucks being loaded and workers moving stuff around on trolleys. Our building is a sturdy one, which is lucky because the vibration from the heavy traffic on the main road can be quite something. Inside, we keep things pretty basic. It’s mostly shelves packed with surgical supplies and a few desks where we handle the billing and phone calls. It gets quite dusty with all the construction and traffic nearby, so there’s a lot of sweeping to do every morning. We don’t have a fancy lobby or anything like that. When you walk in, you’re pretty much right in the middle of the action. Lunch is usually something quick brought from home or ordered from one of the local dhabas that serve the workers here. It’s a busy environment, and there’s always something that needs to be moved or counted. We like being in this part of town because it’s easy for the transport companies to find us, even if the road gets a bit bumpy during the monsoon season.
