Over at 27/1508 on Hari Singh Nalwa Street, we spend our days surrounded by car accessories and parts. It is a typical Karol Bagh shop. We have stuff hanging from the walls and stacked on the floor. It is a bit of a puzzle getting through the door sometimes. We have been in this street for quite a while now. Usually, the day starts with a bit of cleaning, but the dust always comes back. We talk to a lot of drivers and mechanics who are looking for specific bits for their vehicles. Sometimes they bring a broken part and ask if we have a match. We spend a lot of time searching through the shelves. It is not a fancy gallery despite the name. It is just a place where we do business. We have a small stool for the one who stays behind the counter. The street is always loud with the sound of engines and people talking. We usually get our lunch from the dhabas nearby. It is a long day from morning until night. We do not have any big corporate plans. We just want to sell what we have and go home. The lights are old and flicker a bit, but they work fine. Most people who come here are regulars from the neighborhood. We know them and they know us. That is how it works here every single day.
