Asian Surgical Corporation is located at 9-B, Netaji Subhash Marg in the Darya Ganj area. If you know Delhi, you know Darya Ganj is famous for its history and the massive Sunday book market, but for us, it’s just where we come to work every morning. Our building is on the main road, so it’s easy to find but it can be very noisy with all the buses and rickshaws going past. We deal with surgical equipment and supplies, so our office and storage area are filled with all sorts of medical tools and devices. It’s a very practical environment. We don’t have any polished marble floors or fancy lighting. It’s just shelves full of stock and desks where we handle the orders. Most of the people working here have been around for a long time and they know the inventory inside out. We spend our days talking to doctors, hospitals, and suppliers, trying to make sure everyone gets what they need on time. Sometimes the narrow streets of Darya Ganj make it tricky for our delivery vehicles to park, but we’ve learned how to manage it over the years. It’s a bit of an old-fashioned way of doing business, with a lot of face-to-face interaction and handwritten notes. We just focus on keeping our stock levels right and making sure the orders are packed correctly before they go out. There is always a lot to do, but we like the pace here.
