Our place is at S-23 in Anand Parbat, right in Gali No-13. It’s a real industrial area, so there is always a lot of noise from the nearby units. You can hear metal clanging and machines running from early morning. We spend our hours handling surgical items and making sure they are packed right. The floors are concrete and the shelves are heavy steel. It’s a practical space designed for work, not for looking pretty. We have boxes stacked up high near the entrance ready for the trucks. Gali No-13 is narrow, so getting deliveries in and out can be a bit of a struggle sometimes. We know the other business owners on the street and we often share a cup of tea during the break. There is a lot of dust in the air from the traffic outside, so we clean the surfaces quite often. The lighting is bright fluorescent tubes because we need to see what we are doing with the small parts. We don't have a big fancy sign, just the address and the name. It’s mostly about keeping the production moving and checking the quality of the tools. We’ve been in this part of Anand Parbat for a long time. It’s a tough, busy neighborhood, but it’s where we get things done. We just keep our heads down and focus on the tasks we have for the day until it is time to lock up.
