Shree S. Z. Waghela High School

Our school sits right on Bethak Road in Khambhat. If you’ve been around this part of Anand, you probably know where we are. It’s a busy enough area and the school is a permanent fixture here. We have a lot of history in this building. It’s seen many generations of families come through the gates. The classrooms are basic, but they get the job done. We spend a lot of time just managing the daily flow of students in and out. It’s noisy during the breaks, as you’d expect with a high school. The teachers here have been around for years, most of them. We aren’t trying to be anything we’re not. We just provide a place for the local kids to study their lessons and prepare for their board exams. The building itself needs a bit of paint now and then, and we do our best to keep the grounds tidy. Khambhat is a place where people know each other, so we often see former students walking by on their way to work. It’s a practical setup. We have the standard subjects and the staff just gets on with the teaching. There’s no big mystery to it. We open the gates in the morning, the bells ring, and then we head home in the afternoon once the work is finished. It's just a regular part of life on Bethak Road, where the traffic is loud but the classrooms stay focused on the books. It's a simple routine.
