Brijmohan Sweets

Brijmohan Sweets is located right across from the Dena Bank near Sardar Tower. If you are walking around this part of town, you can’t really miss us. It is a busy corner and the foot traffic is pretty steady all day long. We start our day before the sun is even up, getting the milk and sugar ready for the batches. The kitchen stays warm even in the winter. It’s a Brij Mohan Sweet Mart, so it’s more of a traditional setup than a modern shop. We don’t have fancy furniture or big screens. It is just the counters and the trays full of whatever we made that morning. People coming from the bank often pop in for a quick bit. Sardar Tower is a good landmark, so we usually tell people to look for that if they get lost. Working here means you see a lot of different people every day. Some are in a hurry, others want to chat for a minute while we wrap things up in paper. It gets crowded during the festival times, and then we are all hands on deck until late at night. Sometimes the floor gets a bit sticky with all the syrup, but we clean it up as we go. It is a simple life and we like the rhythm of it. The sound of the traffic outside is just background noise to us now. It’s a humble spot but it’s ours.
