Vaishali Bricks Industries

We are located near the Vallabhbhai Patel High School in the village of Kashipur, Silchar. Being so close to the school means we have a lot of life around us. Vaishali Bricks Industries is a simple place where we work with the local soil of the Silchar district. The yard is big and open, which is necessary for drying out the bricks before they go into the kiln. We spend a lot of time watching the clouds because the rain in this part of the country can be very heavy and sudden. When it starts to pour, everyone runs to cover the raw bricks. It’s a bit of a chaotic scramble. Our office is just a basic room where we handle the orders and talk to customers. We don't have any fancy furniture. The chairs are old and the desk is always dusty. We supply to many local builders who are working on projects around Kashipur. They know us as the place near the high school. We don't do any promotional stuff. We just let the bricks speak for themselves. The work is physically demanding and we are all usually tired by the end of the day. But there is a certain satisfaction in seeing a finished stack ready to go. We’ve been here for years and we’ve become a regular part of the local scenery. It’s just us, the school bell, and the bricks.
