Om Computers

Our shop, Om Computers, is located in the Rangirkhari area of Silchar. It’s a well-known neighborhood and we’ve been part of it for several years. We started this small business to help people with their tech problems without them having to go too far. The shop is fairly simple, with a front counter and a back area where we keep the tools and the machines we are currently fixing. Silchar is a place where everyone knows everyone, so we get a lot of repeat customers who have been coming to us since we first opened. We handle things like fixing motherboards, installing software, and selling basic computer parts like mice and keyboards. It’s usually just a couple of us working here. The space is a bit cramped because we have piles of old monitors and towers that we use for spare parts. It’s not the most modern looking place, but we have what we need to get the jobs done. The street outside in Rangirkhari is usually bustling with students and people going to work. We open up mid-morning and usually stay until late in the evening if there’s a lot of work to finish. Sometimes the humidity in Silchar makes the electronics act funny, so we spend a lot of time cleaning out dust and moisture. It’s just a regular local shop trying to be useful to the people living and working nearby. We don't have a big sign but people find us.
