Classic Steel Febrication

Classic Steel Febrication is located in Durganagar Village, which is part of the Udharbond Tehsil in the Cachar District. We are actually quite close to the Silchar Airport, so we hear the planes coming and going pretty often throughout the day. In our workshop, there is usually the sound of metal being cut or the bright light from a welding torch. We make a lot of different things out of steel, like window grills, gates, and frames for small sheds. It is a manual job that requires a lot of standing and physical effort. The floor is usually covered in scrap metal and iron filings, but we try to sweep up at the end of every shift. We have been serving the Silchar area for a good number of years. Most of the people who come to us want something sturdy for their homes or shops. We don't have a fancy catalog or a website. Most folks just bring a drawing or tell us what they need, and we get to work on it. The heat from the welding can be intense, especially during the summer months in Assam. We take our breaks under the shade of the trees outside. It is a straightforward way to make a living, and we take pride in the strength of the things we build with our hands for our local neighbors.
