Nirbhar Agro Farmer Producer Company Limited is located in Buxar, specifically in Mahatma Gandhi Nagar. We are set up at the place of Sri Fani Bhusan Choubey. This area has a lot of farming families who have been here for generations. We decided to start this company to handle the agricultural side of things more officially. It’s not just about planting and picking; there’s a lot of logistical stuff that goes on behind the scenes. We spend our mornings checking on the progress of the crops and our afternoons sitting in the office dealing with the administrative side. Buxar is a good place for this kind of work, but it has its challenges like anywhere else. We have to deal with the heat and the dusty roads and the fluctuating prices at the mandi. We try to keep things simple for the farmers who work with us. No one here is trying to be a corporate executive. We’re just people who understand how to work the soil. We talk to each other in the language we’ve used our whole lives. Sometimes we disagree on how to handle a certain crop, but we usually figure it out over some tea. It’s a practical way to live. We just want to keep the farms going and support the community in Buxar as best as we can.
