Baba Buro Raj Enterprise

Baba Buro Raj Enterprise is out in Bulbulitala village. Our mail goes to the Khalishpur post office. We are under the Kalna police station in the Purba Burdwan district. It’s a rural area, so things move a bit slower here than in the big cities. We like it that way. Our enterprise is small. We work out of a building that’s been in the family for a bit. There isn't much flash to the place. We deal with what we have and try to make a go of it. Most of our neighbors are farmers or have small shops like ours. The road to Bulbulitala can be a bit bumpy, especially after the monsoon, but we are used to it. We don't have a marketing department. If people need us, they usually just walk over or send a message through someone else. We spend our days handling the day-to-day tasks. It’s a lot of manual work. We don't have fancy titles. Everyone just pitches in where they can. Purba Burdwan is a good place to live and work. We feel connected to the land here. Khalishpur is our home base. We keep the ledger books by hand and keep an eye on the stock. It’s not a complicated life. We just want to keep Baba Buro Raj Enterprise running steady so we can support our families and help out the village when we can. Sometimes the electricity goes out, but we just wait it out and start again when it’s back. That’s just life in the village. We enjoy it.
