Santoshi Exports

Our place is inside the Hans Cotton Compound. It's an old industrial area, so it's got that rugged feel to it. We do exports here at Santoshi. It’s mostly about moving goods and keeping track of containers. The compound gets quite dusty when the trucks roll through. We have a small crew that stays busy all day. There’s always something to load or unload. It’s not a quiet job. You hear the sounds of machinery and people shouting instructions. We like the grit of it, though. It feels real. We started small and just kept at it. The office is just a corner of the warehouse really. We don't spend much on fancy furniture. Most of our money goes into the inventory and making sure everything is packed well. If you came to visit, you'd probably see stacks of boxes everywhere. That's just how we operate. We don't have a big marketing team or anyone like that. It's just us doing the actual work. Some of the guys have been with us since the beginning. We know our way around the compound pretty well. It’s a community of businesses here. We all kind of look out for each other. It’s a tough business sometimes with all the regulations and shipping delays. But we just deal with it. Every morning we open up the gates and start over. It's hard work but it keeps us going. We just keep our heads down.
