Ramin Gold Seeds Private Limited is based out of Nitin Deshmukh’s place in the Chankore Layout of Mehkar. It’s more of a home-office setup than a corporate building, which suits us just fine. Mehkar is a small place and everyone pretty much knows everyone else’s business anyway. We spend our days dealing with seed orders and talking to the local growers who come through. The layout is quiet most of the time, though it gets a bit lively in the evenings. We’ve got stacks of files on the tables and samples of seeds in little jars everywhere. Nitin is usually around to handle the big questions, but we all pitch in with the daily chores. It’s a lot of phone calls and writing things down in ledgers. We don't use any high-tech systems, just the basics that get the job done without too much fuss. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, so we just sit on the porch and wait it out. It’s a practical way to run a business. We focus on the seeds we have and getting them out to the people who need them in the Taluqa. There’s no big marketing team here, just a few of us trying to keep the business steady. It’s simple, local, and we like it that way. You can find us easily if you ask for the Chankore Layout near the main part of town. It is a very normal office.
